Supporting the Bangladesh Bible Society
The Bangladesh Bible Society has been working with the churches in their country since 1953. They produce full Bibles, New Testaments and Scripture portions, not only in the Bangla language but in other ethnic languages. They want every Christian person to have their own Bible. As part of this they want to ensure that people who are blind or illiterate can also engage with God’s Word through listening to it on audio players. However, the Bangladesh Bible Society do far more than simply giving away Bibles. Programmes are organised with local churches and hostels, and for different professions such as those working in medicine and the media. They want to encourage adults, young people and children with the Word of God.
