India: Bibles for Orphans

India Bibles for OrphansWill you give?

Will you give Bibles to orphans in India and help bring more children to Jesus?

There are estimated to be 20 million* orphans in India, living on the street, in hostels and in orphanages. Life is hard for these children.

The Bible Society of India is reaching out with the love of Jesus by giving gifts of Bibles, school bags and notebooks to children in orphanages. This could be the first gift they have ever received and it brings so much joy to them.

Rosy is 13 years old: “I like hearing the Bible stories… the words of Jesus are so powerful. My own father I no longer have, but God takes care of us... I don’t own a Bible, just a New Testament. I would like to have my own children’s Bible.”

It only takes £8 to give a child like Rosy a Bible, a schoolbag and a notebook.

Make your donation now to bring joy and life to a child in an orphanage in India.

* Research carried out by SOS Children’s Villages India. Numbers are difficult to accurately estimate as many births are not registered, and many orphans live on the streets.
In the unlikely event that this project is overfunded, funds will be used in a similar project. In 2018 Bible Society NI will be continuing the work of supplying children in India with Bibles. This will be done by funding work in the slum areas of cities where people are living in extreme poverty, and by funding translation work to ensure children receive the Bible in a language they understand.
