Hope Unexpected from the Middle East

Hope Unexpected - Mike Bassous

Catherine Little & Mike Bassous My head and my heart are full after spending time with Dr Mike Bassous from the Bible Society in Lebanon over the last few days as he visited us here in Northern Ireland.

Our theme for this visit was Hope Unexpected and Mike certainly delivered, sharing stories and testimonies from Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and other parts of the Middle East.  Mike shared his message with many people, speaking in Ballymena, Belfast, Londonderry and Bangor.  We partnered with the Presbyterian Church in Ireland to bring Mike to Northern Ireland with a particular focus on a conference for Church Leaders on Thursday 26th January at Assembly Buildings in Belfast.

Thank you to everyone who came to hear from Mike and for the generous support we received for the Bible Society in Lebanon.

As we continue to pray for the situation in the Middle East, Mike asked us to pray specifically for the church in the Middle East that they would continue to find strength to deal with the opportunities presented to them.  We also need to pray for real and lasting peace in the region.

Please do continue to pray for Mike and his team in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.

Every blessing
